The knives and tools that we offer are authentic Extrema Ratio knives. All of them come directly from the Italian manufacture to us.

It is the responsibility of the buyer, not Xtreme Knives, to determine and follow all local, state, federal and international laws and ordinances regarding the purchase, possession, and use of any item purchased from us. Everything we sell is subject to Public Law 90-351, Title III, U.S.D., Section 2511. Please know all applicable laws before ordering.
Absolutely no sales to minors. When you place an order, you acknowledge that the item(s) will be used in a lawful manner and that you are of legal age to make the purchase. Xtreme Knives may require proof of legal age before filling your order. We will not be held liable for the misuse of any item(s) purchased from Xtreme Knives. In addition, we assume no responsibility for any bodily injuries, dismemberment or death that may result from any item purchased from us.
Knives demand careful use to avoid injury. Care must be taken when removing/returning your fixed blade to its sheath or when opening/closing a folder.
Purchase and use of items bought from Xtreme Knives constitutes your agreement to hold all personnel at Xtreme Knives harmless of any liability for the manner in which the purchased items are used. The buyer is responsible for abiding by all local, state, and federal laws concerning the purchase and use of any items sold by Xtreme Knives.

PAYMENT METHODS
All prices given on our website are in US Dollars. We accept American Express, Discover, MasterCard, Visa and PayPal. We also accept wire transfers for an additional charge of $10.00. (Please call 801-770-4466 or Toll Free: 800-470-9414 or email us for more information.)
We accept personal and business checks drawn on a US bank, and US Postal Money Orders. Shipping for knives paid for by check will be delayed until the funds clear our bank (ten days). All money orders, other than US Postal Money Orders, are processed by our bank as a regular check. Cashier's checks are also processed as a regular check.
We do ask that orders from our Canadian customers be paid with a credit card, PayPal, or wire transfer. There is an additional $10.00 charge on wire transfers.

SHIPPING INFORMATION
We provide FREE Priority shipping within Continental USA. Orders going outside of Continental USA are charged an additional shipping charge that is determined at the time of shipment. This additional charge is charged to your credit/debit card or PayPal account. (You will be notified by e-mail or by telephone as to the amount of the additional shipping charge.)
If a package cannot be delivered because you are not available, or you reject the package, and it is returned to us, any shipping expenses incurred by Xtreme Knives will be subtracted from the refund made to you. Plus an additional 5% of the cost of the knife will also be subtracted from the refund for restocking.
We do not offer 2-Day, or Overnight Shipping for some areas.
NO SIGNATURE REQUIRED
If you ask that your package be left without a signature then you agree to release Xtreme Knives from any and all liability if your package is lost or stolen.
SPECIAL ORDERS
You can place a special order for an item that we do not normally stock. We request that you prepay 1/2 of the purchased price when you place the order. The other 1/2 is due when we have the knife in stock and ready to ship to you. If, for some reason beyond our control we are unable to fill your order, your money will be refunded to you.
CANCELED ORDERS
If an order is placed and then canceled before the knife has shipped, there will be no charge.
If an order is placed and then canceled after the knife has shipped: you can reject the shipment and have the unopened package returned to us. Any shipping expenses incurred by Xtreme Knives for having the rejected knife returned will be subtracted from the refund made to you. Plus an additional 5% of the cost of the knife will also be subtracted from the refund for restocking.
WARRANTY
Extrema Ratio’s Warranty is as follows: Extrema Ratio guarantees a quick replacement of products (upon stock available) in case of, 1) production fault preventing item from functioning 2) break caused by production fault or inner fault in materials used. This warranty covers our knives for unlimited time. Scabbards have a 6 years warranty, from purchase by first customer. This warranty does not cover damages due to wearing, and oxidation, which can be avoided by careful lubrication and polishing. Please send faulty item back along with original copy of the purchase receipt. Should Extrema Ratio certify the fault, the faulty parts will be replaced for free, including expenses due for shipping items back. Extrema Ratio's address is:

RETURNS AND EXCHANGES FOR UNITED STATES CUSTOMERS
Any knife or tool may be returned in original UNUSED condition within two weeks of receipt for a refund or exchange. All items included with the knife such as warranty, wrenches, sheath, etc. must be returned with the knife. Customer pays for the return shipping. There may be a 10% restocking fee. Please insure your return.
If the knife has damage due to improper use or care or has missing parts, there is no refund or replacement. It should not be returned.
When you are returning an item, we will issue you an RA# (Return Authorization). Please write the RA# on the outside of the box. You will need to obtain an RA# before returning the item. We are unable to accept returns without an RA# being issued.
Any knife not purchased directly from Xtreme Knives should be returned to the original dealer from whom you bought the knife.
Extrema Ratio knife owners wanting to return a knife or tool beyond the two weeks grace period will need to return it to Extrema Ratio Italy. Please see the above WARRANTY Section for more information.
RETURNS AND EXCHANGES FOR FOREIGN CUSTOMERS (EXCEPT CANADIAN CUSTOMERS)
If there is any problem with your knife, Extrema Ratio's policy for our foreign customers is the following: You will need to return the knife to Extrema Ratio Italy at your expense for evaluation. Extrema Ratio Italy will repair or replace your knife at their discretion.
BASIC CARE
Keep your knife dry and oil it with lubricants made for weapons. If your knife gets wet in salt water, wash it with salt-free water, dry well and lubricated it.
If your knife becomes “greasy” or dirty, wash with detergents, rinse and dry well, and lubricate it. Keep the interior of the sheath clean to protect your knife from scratches. Plastic parts are virtually immune to things that damage the blade and generally require little care.
SHARPENING
Knife sharpening is an art and takes some practice to "get it just right". There are different grinds and each requires a different method. Use quality sharpeners. Use a course grain sharpener to remove scratches and edge damage. Use a fine grain to restore the cutting edge. Do not sharpen your knife on a power-grinding wheel as this can burn the temper out of the blade and weaken its integrity.
